New Mexico teens must take Driver Education. You are required to take it through your public school, a commercial driving school or you may qualify to use our correspondence course.
If you home school, you have the option of using a correspondence course (under Condition 1 of the TSB application for permission to enroll in driver edcuation correspondence school) if it has been approved by the Traffic Safety Bureau. Please fill out the TSB Application for Permission to enroll in Driver Education Correspondence School below.
The TSB recognizes there are some situations, which make it impossible for a student not home schooled to attend a driver education couse (Schedule, Transportation, etc.). You may qualify under Condition 2 of the TSB application for permission to enroll in driver education correspondence school.
Driver Ed in a Box® is Approved by the Traffic Safety Bureau.
