ARIZONA
DRIVER EDUCATION

Attention Arizona parents and teens!  Stop by and visit us in person at an upcoming conference in your area:

What:  AFHE Conference

When:  July 18-19, 2008

Where:  Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix, Arizona

Driver Ed in a Box® will satisfy all of your teenager's driver education needs and at the same time teach them to become a safe, collision-free driver.  In Arizona, you do not need to take any other driver education course (either through the School system or from a commercial school).

The first 6 hours of the classroom included in our course, combined with the Arizona Driver Manual, will give your teen all the information they need to take their examination and receive their Instruction Permit at age 15 and 7 months.

The Driver Ed in a Box® program gives you the tools to master the skills of each section of driving (we break it down to Parking Lot, Neighborhood, Two Lane and Four Lane Light Traffic, Freeway, Rural and Heavy Traffic). With our checklist and audio CDs, it allows the student to master the skills required in each area at their own pace before moving on to the next section. All of this is completed during the state required permit time and more than satisfies the 25 hours of behind-the-wheel (BTW) instruction Arizona requires. Once you have had your permit a minimum of 5 months and are at least 16 (Arizona state requirements), you can go to the local driver license examiner and take your road test.

To obtain a Class G Driver's License at age 16, a parent or legal guardian must sign the legal guardian section on the driver license application. You must hold a valid instruction permit, pass road test to be eligible and have completed driver education OR have a parent/guardian certify that you have completed 25 hours supervised driving practice, including 5 hours of night time driving. Please remember to take the application with you. You can simply go to the following link and print the form:

Parents using Driver Ed in a Box® to work directly with their teen and supervise their progress ensures the safest teen drivers on the road.

Parent/student comments:

"The (audio series was) most valuable because it was like having a professional trainer in the car with us." - C.W., Mesa, Arizona

"The Driver Education Classroom Program was quite helpful to me. It covered all the topics: From watching out for pedestrians, to safety around 18-wheelers. Tips giving plenty of room when following trucks I use even now (a year later). I was impressed with much of the information, because it not only stressed the importance of driving safely, but also explained in detail how to do that." - C.R.W., Mesa, Arizona
